Official Rules and Regulations
Open to residents of Canada

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Glad Trash Talkin Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by The Glad Products Company (the “Sponsor”). The Contest begins at 12:00:01 AM (ET) on September 1, 2010 and ends at 11:59:59 PM (ET) on November 23, 2010 (the “Contest Period”).

2. ELIGIBILITY: To enter and be eligible to win, a person must be a resident of Canada who is age of majority in the province in which they reside and who is not an employee of the Sponsor, its affiliated companies or agents, its respective advertising or promotional agencies, the independent contest organization or a member of any such employee’s immediate family (regardless of where they live) or persons with whom they are domiciled (whether related to the employee or not). In these Official Rules, “immediate family” includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partner and/or spouse.

3. HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST: During the Contest Period, visit www.glad.ca (the “Contest Website”) click on the contest icon, complete the entry form with your full name, complete address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), email address, and agree to rules and regulations. Upon doing so, click “Submit” to receive one (1) entry into the Contest. Entries must be received on or before 11:59:59 PM (ET) on November 23, 2010 (the “Contest Closing Date”). Limit one (1) entry per person per Weekly Contest period (see rule 4).

4. WEEKLY CONTEST PERIODS: There are Twelve (12) Weekly Contest Periods during the Contest Period.

Week 1 – begins 12:00:01 AM (ET) on September 1, 2010 and ends 11:59:59 PM (ET) on September 7, 2010
Week 2 – begins 12:00:01 AM (ET) on September 8, 2010 and ends 11:59:59 PM (ET) on September 14, 2010
Week 3 – begins 12:00:01 AM (ET) on September 15, 2010 and ends 11:59:59 PM (ET) on September 21, 2010
Week 4 – begins 12:00:01 AM (ET) on September 22, 2010 and ends 11:59:59 PM (ET) on September 28, 2010
Week 5 – begins 12:00:01 AM (ET) on September 29, 2010 and ends 11:59:59 PM (ET) on October 5, 2010
Week 6 – begins 12:00:01 AM (ET) on October 6, 2010 and ends 11:59:59 PM (ET) on October 12, 2010
Week 7 – begins 12:00:01 AM (ET) on October 13, 2010 and ends 11:59:59 PM (ET) on October 19, 2010

5. WEEKLY PRIZES: There will be a total of Twelve (12) Weekly Prizes available to be won during the Contest Period. One (1) Prize is available to be won during each Weekly Contest Period. Each Weekly Prize consists of one (1) $500 (CDN) Gift Card to the retailer of your choice. Should the retailer not be participating in a Gift Card program, the winner of the weekly prize will be awarded $500 (CDN) cash made payable to the winner in the form of a cheque.

GRAND PRIZE: There is a total of One (1) Grand Prize available to be won. Grand Prize consists of a 3 day/2 nights trip for four (4) (the winner and his/her 3 friends) to Toronto, Ontario, comprised of roundtrip economy air transportation for four (4) from an International Canadian airport closest to the winner’s residence to Toronto, Ontario; two (2) consecutive nights’ accommodation in two (2) standard rooms, at a hotel, selected by the Sponsor, based on double occupancy; $300 (CDN) cash per person total for meals; dinner with Wendel Clark for the prize winner and his/her three (3) friends; four (4) tickets to a hockey game (game to be selected by the Sponsor); and four (4) Hockey jerseys autographed by Wendel Clark. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $10,000.00 (CDN) (based on a Vancouver departure). Any difference between such approximate retail value and the actual value of the Grand Prize as taken will not be awarded. The winner and his/her travel guests must travel on the same itinerary and must each have valid travel documents prior to ticketing (such as a passport). Each travel guest must be a Canadian resident and be at least the age of majority in the province in which they reside at time of draw. The Grand Prize winner and his/her travel guests are responsible for all incidental expenses incurred for the purpose of taking or during the Grand Prize trip including, but not limited to, ground transfers to and from their residences to the departure airport and or other applicable taxes, travel and medical insurance, trip cancellation insurance, departure taxes, fees, surcharges, excess baggage fees, costs associated with travel documents, visas, or necessary vaccinations, room service and mini-bar charges, tips and gratuities, hotel services (if any), merchandise and souvenirs, sightseeing tours, local and long distance telephone calls, spending money or items of a personal nature (the "Expenses"). No frequent flyer miles will be awarded. Grand Prizes must be accepted as described in these rules and cannot be transferred to another person, substituted for another prize, or exchanged in whole or in part, for cash, subject to the provisions set forth elsewhere in these rules. Travel arrangements must be made through the Sponsor or its advertising or promotional agencies, and must be booked at least thirty five (35) business days prior to departure. The Sponsor reserves the right, in the event that a Grand Prize or any component of a Grand Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason, to substitute another prize of equal or greater value, without liability. Travel must be completed by Jan. 1, 2011. Booking is subject to availability of flights and hotel accommodation, blackout periods (including all major holidays in Canada such as; Christmas, New Years, March Break, Thanksgiving and Labour Day), government restrictions and regulations, hotel, airline, airport and other transportation restrictions and regulations. Once made, travel arrangements are final and cannot be changed. If a Grand Prize winner is unable to participate in the trip after the Grand Prize has been booked, the Grand Prize will be forfeited in its entirety.

6. WEEKLY DRAWS: A random draw will take place from all eligible entries received on or before the relevant Weekly Contest Period cut-off-dates in Oakville, ON at approximately 10:00 AM (ET) on the following dates: September 9, 2010 for Weekly Contest Period 1; September 16, 2010 for Weekly Contest Period 2; September 23, 2010 for Weekly Contest Period 3; September 30, 2010 for Weekly Contest Period 4; October 7, 2010 for Weekly Contest Period 5; October 14, 2010 for Weekly Contest Period 6; October 21, 2010 for Weekly Contest Period 7; October 28, 2010 for Weekly Contest Period 8; November 4 for Weekly Contest Period 9; November 11 for Weekly Contest Period 10; November 18, 2010 for Weekly Contest Period 11; November 25, 2010 for Weekly Contest Period 12. Odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received on or before the relevant Weekly Contest Period cut-off-date defined in rule 4. If for any reason there are no entries for a particular Weekly Draw, the Prize for that Weekly Contest Period will not be awarded.

GRAND PRIZE DRAW: One (1) random draw will be held on December 8, 2010 at 10:00 am (ET), (the “Draw Date”) in Oakville, Ontario from among all eligible Weekly Prize winners. Odds of being selected for the Grand Prize is one (1) in twelve (12) assuming there are weekly prize winners for each weekly prize. Each selected Weekly and Grand Prize entrant will be contacted by mail or telephone within five (5) business days of the applicable Draw Date. If a selected entrant (a) cannot be reached by mail or telephone within five (5) business days of the applicable Draw Date; (b) fails to correctly answer the skill testing question (see rule 8); or (c) fails to return the properly executed Release Forms within the specified time (see rule 8), then he/she will be disqualified and another entrant will be randomly selected until such time as contact is made by mail or telephone with a selected entrant or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first. The Sponsor will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact a selected entrant. Limit of one (1) Weekly Prize per person.

7. GENERAL: By participating in the Contest, each selected entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and Regulations and the decisions of the independent contest organization, with respect to all aspects of the Contest.

8. To be declared a winner, a selected entrant must first correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question posed by mail or telephone. If a selected entrant fails to answer the mathematical skill-testing question, or if his/her answer to the mathematical skill-testing question is incorrect, he/she will be disqualified. Each selected Weekly entrant, Grand Prize Winner and his/her guests will also be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form (the ‘Release Form”) confirming compliance with the Official Rules and Regulations, acceptance of a Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with the Prize or the Contest. The Release Forms must be returned within the time period specified on the Release Forms or the Prize will be forfeited. Upon receipt of the completed Release Forms, Prizes will be delivered by courier to each winner by the Sponsor, or its advertising or promotional agencies, within thirty (30) days of being declared a winner to the address as it appears on the Release Form.

9. The Sponsor accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the Contest or a Prize. By participating and accepting a Prize, each winner consents to the use of his/her name, address (city and province/territory) and/or photograph without further remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor with respect to the Contest.

10. The Sponsor and the independent contest organization will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete or destroyed entries and all such entries are void. The Sponsor and the independent contest organization will not be liable for any failure of the Contest Website, do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entries are subject to verification by the independent contest organization. The Sponsor, its advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, directors, officers, affiliates, agents and representatives are not liable for (a) late, lost, delayed, not received, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, stolen, fraudulent or illegible entries (all of which entries shall be automatically void and not eligible for the Grand Prize); (b) failure to receive entries due to transmission failures, busy signals, traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, servers, access providers, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or recipient, or (c) any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest and breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer "hackers". Entry material/data not satisfying the entry requirements or that have been tampered with or altered are void. In the event it is determined that an entrant has entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these rules and/or has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant will be disqualified and all of the entries submitted by the entrant will be disqualified.

11. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. The selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).

12. The Sponsor reserves the right, with the consent of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (the “Régie”) in the province of Québec, to terminate or amend this Contest at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, the Sponsor reserves the right with the consent of the Régie to cancel the Contest. The Sponsor and the independent contest organization shall not be held responsible for any problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest.

13. For Québec residents only: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling; any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

14. No correspondence will be entered into, except with the selected entrants. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.

15. The Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from entrants will only be used by the Sponsor, and/or its advertising or promotional agencies or the independent contest organization, to administer the Contest and, only if consent is given at the time of entry, to provide entrants with information regarding upcoming promotions and/or events from the Sponsor.
